Last week we closed our Open Call (oc-2023-1) for new COST Action proposals. Interim analysis shows:
- Second highest number of submitted proposals to a COST Open Call.
- 40 COST Member Countries submitted to this collection as a main proposer. Italy, Spain, and Portugal have the highest number of main proposers.
- More women main proposers when compared to oc-2022-1.
- Very interdisciplinary with 49% of proposals having two or more main fields of science.
Next steps
The proposals will now undergo evaluation and up to 70 new Actions will be approved in May 2024. For those interested in applying for future network funding our next call opens in November 2023 so watch this space for more information.
