The focus of the WIRE VIII conference is “to enable a deeper understanding of the role and the needs of research and innovation focused on DIGITISATION FOR achieving a GREATER SOCIETAL IMPACT and the digital responsible future for urban and rural development and related societal challenges, e.g. poverty and income inequalities, social inclusion, regional/local growth, data economy, be closer to the people and other.”

COST will be represented by Dr Katrin Vohland, the Chair of the COST Action on “ Citizen Science to promote creativity, scientific literacy, and innovation throughout Europe”(CA15212) at the widening session focused on the following topics:

“What are the experiences with existing instruments?” and “How to further spread excellence and widen participation in post-H2020 period?”

The objective of the session is to share the experiences from difference widening instruments and to discuss how to further spread excellence and widen participation in post-H2020 period.

The session will take place on Thursday, 29 June 2017 from 14:30 to 16:00.
