542 - High Performance Energy Storages for Mobile and Stationary Applications: HPSMT

Main objective

The main objective of the COST Action 542: High Performance Energy Storages for Mobile and Stationary Applications is the development of high performance energy storage systems and their implementation in mobile and stationary applications in transportation and energy technologies. The backbone of these systems will be the high voltage super-capacitor modules based on stacked super-capacitor cells.

Secondary objectives

The development of next generation super-capacitor systems using advanced materials, which fulfil all the technical, economic, and environmental requirements (international market and certifiable product quality), and simultaneously comply with the requirements for modern production technologies. Parallel intensive work will be done to tap the full potential of the innovative high performance energy storages in the abovementioned areas.
