On Friday 29 March over 100 researchers and innovators attended the COST Info Day in Belgrade to discover more about COST activities and how to participate.
In the context of this information day, Dr Ronald de Bruin, Director of the COST Association, met with the Serbian Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr Mladen Šarčević. During the meeting, Dr De Bruin emphasised the strong engagement of Serbia in COST Actions, calling Serbia one of the “COST-enthusiastic” countries. Minister Šarčević recognised the importance of COST in helping Serbian researchers find the right international collaborations and develop their career. Both sides agreed that COST is a key tool to connect the Serbian research community with relevant partners in Europe and beyond. Several proposals to increase cooperation were discussed, and both Dr De Bruin and Mr Šarčević expressed their wish to keep the current fruitful relations between COST and Serbia over the coming years.
