The COST Association is pleased to announce that on 21st May 2021, the Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) approved funding for four COST Innovators Grant (CIG).
The COST Innovators Grant, as defined in the COST Strategic Plan, aims at enhancing the pace and success of breakthrough innovations, to build bridges between the scientific research performed in COST Actions and marketable applications and/or societal solutions and to explore innovation potential. The COST Innovators Grant complements existing initiatives on innovation, it is about networking activities and available to participants from running COST Actions only. COST will maintain an interface with other relevant initiatives such as the ERC proof of concept and the EIC. The applications that have been approved for funding are:
- CIG-15209: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Relaxometry for Dairy Products
- CIG-15210: Software for Transnational Kidney Exchange Programmes
- CIG-16124: Brillouin Light Scattering Spectroscopy – Biomaterial Database
- CIG-16125: An Open Access Repository of Pluripotent Stem Cells from Children and Adult’s with Interstitial Lung Disease
COST Innovators Grant activities funded under the pilot scheme are foreseen to run from 1st November 2021 until 31st October 2022.
