The Management Committee of COST Action E 44 decided to organize a conference on Modelling the Wood Chain in Helsinki in 2007 in order to support the establishment of Wood Processing Strategy. Modelling is a key issue for creating new knowledge covering the entire wood chain, including a number of operation options. This book is a collection of papers submitted by the speakers of the conference.
